>>> DAVE’S WEEKLY WEATHER NUTSHELL <<<
–Heavier showers this morning with possible thunder lead to a lull near mid day
–Shower activity continues in more eastern parts of CMass and NE.CT, while we lull in WMass/western CT/SVT/SWNH
–More widely scattered showers late afternoon and eve for the greater WMass region
–Highs either side of 70º today, lows mid to upper 60s, humid
–A secondary cold front on Saturday will bring with it some better dynamics but will be acting on less moisture
–This should produce additional widely scattered showers and a possible thunderstorm with highs in the 70s
–Nicer, drier Sunday (partly sunny with early isolated shower possible) and Monday (mostly sunny and dry), with highs in the 70s and lows in the 50s
–Tuesday into Wednesday showers and rain move back in, and by Thursday, a serious taste of Autumn arrives, but before we talk details let’s check a note from our local and delicious sponsor, #TandemBagelCo, with their newest location in the Stop & Shop Plaza on King Street in Northampton, MA.

>>> MORNING DISCUSSION <<<
Good morning everybody, we’ve got morning showers (some heavy) in the region thanks to a warm frontal passage that has been moving through the region.

We can’t rule out a rumble of thunder, but strongest storm dynamics are in western CT and especially down into NY and the Mid-Atlantic.

Through and after this morning, we will lull out, and see widely scattered showers at times this afternoon and evening/tonight, but many will see dry periods for sure.

The exception looks to be in parts of CMass and eastern CT, especially eastern CMass into eastern MA, where additional rainfall is expected.

Highs will reach either side of 70º today, with lows in the mid to upper 60s as temps don’t move around much until tomorrow’s secondary cold frontal passage.

Saturday looks milder, with highs in the mid to upper 70s, and we’ll be watching for the secondary cold front to move into the region late in the day and bring some more scattered showers or thunderstorms, but these may be isolated due to less moisture.

Lows at night will be cooler behind the front, dropping to the mid to upper 50s with a few remnant showers possible.

Sunday is definitely the pick of the weekend, and despite a morning isolated shower, should be mostly dry, partly sunny and feature highs in the low to mid 70s with drier air moving into the region. Lows will drop into the mid to upper 50s.

Monday looks mostly sunny and gorgeous with highs in the mid to upper 70s and lows near 60º.

After a sunny start Tuesday morning, we cloud back up and will be dealing with periods of rainfall Tuesday night through Wednesday night before we sweep all of that out of here by Thursday and Friday which looks like a TRUE taste of early Autumn as we enter into September on Friday with northwest breezes and highs in the mid to upper 60s.

Have a great day!

>>> BE KIND <<<
“Hello babies. Welcome to Earth. It’s hot in the summer and cold in the winter. It’s round and wet and crowded. On the outside, babies, you’ve got a hundred years here. There’s only one rule that I know of, babies: Goddamn it, you’ve got to be kind.”
–Kurt Vonnegut
