It's a bit drizzly in spots this morning, and that should let up in time. A mostly cloudy day is expected, but a few breaks of sun are possible and we can't rule out a morning shower. By the time we get to the afternoon, highs reaching the mid 70s to low 80s will provide enough surface heating to combine with this humid air mass to generate a broken cluster of showers, downpours and a few embedded thunderstorms. Isolated areas could receive inches of rain, such that we can't rule out localized flash flooding in a couple of areas that receive the heaviest rainfall from any downpours. The timeframe generally is 2-8pm, but showers could form before or after that time span. Temps will cool down as we dry out overnight with lows either side of 60º, and Thursday looks much drier as higher pressure moves in behind the departing upper low. Highs on Thursday will either side of 80º under partly sunny skies though some of us will still see an isolated shower, downpour or thunderstorm by the afternoon. Lows will be near 60º as skies clear. Friday is looking GORGEOUS! Mostly sunny skies are expected, dew point temps in the 50s with lower humidity, and highs in the low to mid 80s! Could we get an afternoon shower? Yes, but it would be the outlier if it were to form. Lows will drop into the low 60s. Saturday is our transition today back to more humid and showery conditions, but at this point I believe much of it will be on the drier side, and hopefully with a partly sunny start before clouds move in by afternoon and/or evening. We should see some scattered showers later in the afternoon, and especially in the evening/night time, but thunder does not look likely at this time. Sunday and Monday will feature another upper level system sweeping through with more unsettled and humid conditions, which means periods of showers on Sunday, and with showers and thunderstorms on Monday before a front moves through. Highs will be 75-80º through this period, but once we get to Tuesday or Wednesday and further into next week, we could be talking about mid to upper 80s for high temps as Summer heat tries to surge into the region as we move into early July. Stay tuned for updates, and have a great day! >>> BE KIND <<< “Hello babies. Welcome to Earth. It's hot in the summer and cold in the winter. It's round and wet and crowded. On the outside, babies, you've got a hundred years here. There's only one rule that I know of, babies: Goddamn it, you've got to be kind.” --Kurt Vonnegut
