DAVE’S WEEKLY WEATHER NUTSHELL
–Overcast with temps cooling slowly through the day
–Raw with a few light showers or drizzle patches with east-northeast flow into the region (off of the ocean)
–Otherwise, mostly dry until this evening when a warm front lifts toward the region
–Showers should become more numerous before midnight, and as temps cool in SVT and SWNH, some isolated freezing rain pockets may form, or freezing drizzle
–Otherwise, just plain rain showers and patchy fog developing with temps expected to start rising either side of dawn
–Warmer tomorrow, well into the 60s, with a round of showers and a few thunderstorms in the afternoon

MORNING DISCUSSION
Good morning everybody, as I mentioned yesterday, Winter is over as the pattern is swiftly shifting into Spring with great rapidity. In fact, after we get through this unsettled stretch through tomorrow evening, I don’t see a drop of rain on the horizon for at least a week, save for a weak frontal passage sometime around Tuesday, but that’s not even worth discussing.

Today feels like a double–dash delivery day (That’s a double double-D, for those playing at home), so I’m going to dispense with the paragraphs, and distributed the double–dashes below to outline our coming weather attractions, which are VERY attractive if you like abundant sunshine and milder temps.

SPRING-ERY, I MEAN SUMMARY:
–A backdoor cold front has passed south of us overnight, which brought more cloudiness into the region
–High temps are pretty much as we are seeing them now, well into the 40s with some low 50s
–However, temps should be cooling by afternoon, albeit slowly
–This is in response to cool east-northeast flow off of the ocean from high pressure situated over New Brunswick, Canada
–It should be mainly an overcast day, with a few isolated light showers or some drizzle possible
–By this evening, our frontal boundary will be driven north and east as low pressure tracks into eastern Ontario
–This pushes a period of more numerous showers into our region before midnight, and some isolated elevated areas in SVT, SWNH, and northern MA may see some light icing
–Otherwise, rain showers move through, and then temps start to warm by dawn with lows in the 30s to low 40s
–For Thursday, we enter the warm sector, and while it may take a while to really warm up, by afternoon we should get into the 60s to low 70s under mostly cloudy skies
–Then, as a cold front approaches, more showers and a few non-severe thunderstorms will push through during the afternoon
–Lows Thursday night as we dry out will drop into the mid 30s to low 40s with northwest winds gusting up to 30mph
–Friday looks gusty and cooler, but sunnier with highs in the upper 40s to mid 50s, and with lows in the mid 20s to low 30s
–Friday night looks windy still, so you’ll need to bundle up if out late, it’ll be chilly!
–Saturday will also be cool with highs in the 45-50º range with plenty of sunshine and lows in the 20s with highs in the 50s Sunday, again under abundant sunshine
–Sunshine continues next week, and we may hit 70º by Tuesday and as a Bermuda high sets up to our south, we may really warm up later in the week, but I will keep you posted
