MORNING DISCUSSION
Good morning everybody, if you’re reading this you’re still breathing, you’re still here in a body, we’re still swinging around our star, corkscrewing through the Cosmos, and undulating the Universe, so that’s got to count for something!

I hope your day is a great one, and aside from a rather raw and lousy weather day tomorrow (and maybe again by middle of next week) I think we’re slowly turning the corner into Spring at this point.

I’m going to bust out my unpatented double–dash delivery system to disburse with great haste the various salient weather points below and I do hope you following along, let’s go!

SUMMARY
–High pressure northwest of us and high pressure well south will set up a stormy boundary that slides through tomorrow
–For today, we get some northwest gusts up to 20mph behind the cold front that passed through last night with showers
–Highs mid 40s to low 50s, and gusts go to breezes later
–Mid and high clouds reveal some sunny breaks or filtered sun, then clouds increase tonight with lows in the 20s
–A potent storm system tracks through Lake Huron and southeastern Ontario tomorrow pushing mixed precipitation into our region
–The precip is mixed because of a colder high to our north, along with brief radiational cooling tonight
–Precip arrives in form of snow, sleet and rain by mid to late morning tomorrow
–Air warms aloft, and turns any snow likely over to sleet and/or rain, with the valley seeing wintry mix to rain, most likely
–As the storm tracks NE tomorrow evening, a secondary low develops near the Cape into the Gulf of Maine, pulling cold air back in for a last-second flip to snow and sleet at night
–Most areas south of Rt. 2 (unless above 1000 or 1500 feet in elevation) should only see a coating of snow/sleet to likely nothing
–High elevation areas and the region along and north of Rt. 2 should see a coating up to 2″ by Sunday morning
–Highs Saturday will only be in the 30s with lows near freezing
–Sunday looks gusty with west winds up to 35mph at times, mostly sunny skies, and milder conditions, with temps in mid 40s to mid 50s, and lows in the 30s
–Monday and Tuesday also look like a pair of high-pressure winners with highs in the mid 40s to low 50s
–Tuesday night into Wednesday will likely see at least some shower activity of rain or snow with a northern stream system moving through that likely fails to phase with southern stream energy until it’s well out to sea
–Still, depending on timing of precip onset, and where the surface low tracks in relation to high pressure to the north, we could see some accumulating snow late Tuesday night into Wednesday morning
–It’s probably an out to sea or minimal hit, but it bears watching, and I will keep you updated
–Thereafter, I think we continue to seep into Spring, and I must say that despite this overall tame winter, the recent winter pattern was satisfying enough for this snow lover, and I’m ready for the warm season, are you?

BE KIND
“Hello babies. Welcome to Earth. It’s hot in the summer and cold in the winter. It’s round and wet and crowded. On the outside, babies, you’ve got a hundred years here. There’s only one rule that I know of, babies: Goddamn it, you’ve got to be kind.”
–Kurt Vonnegut
