MORNING DISCUSSION
Good morning everybody, there’s not too much to discuss this morning as we are in a very boring, fairly zonal, Arctic-air-locked-up pattern that pushes storms to our north, introducing mild air ahead of them and with no Arctic outbreaks to speak of, so for this winter weather nut, things are a bit doldrum-y.

No dendritic growth zones, no bombo or frontogenesis to speak of, no Rex Block patterns, no Nor’eastahs, no Elmer-Fudd-vocal-fryed noaf winds bwow exclamations, but you know, as Dumbledore from Harry Potter said, even in the darkest of times we (meaning me, as a snow lover) can find happiness… if one only remembers to turn on the light.

Anyway, just trying to keeping it interesting (or at least, weird) folks, but now it’s time to dive into the BoringCast(TM) powered by Double–Dash Delivery Technology (Patent Not Pending):

–A weak storm is on the way out of here, let me know if any of you northern CT denizens saw any coatings on the grass this morn
–Clouds will thin as we go through the day with some areas staying partly sunny to mostly cloudy (Berkshires, SVT) and elsewhere going partly to mostly sunny
–Highs will reach the mid 30s to mid 40s from north to south, and some southern Greens towns may hang around freezing
–Westerly breezes may kick up to 20mph at times, but I wouldn’t call it a “windy” day
–A weak cold front drops through tonight and drops temps into the 20s overnight with a bit breezier conditions possible behind the front
–High pressure builds in tomorrow and Wednesday with partly sunny skies and highs in the mid 30s with lows in the mid 20s with wind continuing to gust up to 25mph
–By Wednesday night, a lead wave may get out ahead of our main Thursday night into Friday storm, and bring some snow showers into the pre-dawn hours of Thursday morning
–Lows Wednesday night drop into the upper 20s to low 30s
–We can’t rule out some light accumulations before we flip to mixed precipitation showers on Thursday afternoon, changing to rain everywhere by night into Friday
–Friday looks showery at this time with highs in the 40s, but a cold front will be moving into the region at night, and this may flip some of us back to snow
–All in all, it doesn’t look like a very impactful system, but I will keep you updated as we get closer
–Snow showers end Saturday early, then we should start to clear with highs in the mid to upper 30s Saturday and low to mid 30s Sunday, with another mild shot sometime next week the way it looks now

Have a great day!

AND REMEMBER…
“Hello babies. Welcome to Earth. It’s hot in the summer and cold in the winter. It’s round and wet and crowded. On the outside, babies, you’ve got a hundred years here. There’s only one rule that I know of, babies: Goddamn it, you’ve got to be kind.”
–Kurt Vonnegut
