MORNING DISCUSSION
Good morning everybody, off the bat I wanted to mention that Will Katcher from Masslive.com wrote an article about my inelegantly-coined term “Western Mass Snow Lover’s Triangle of Disappointment” about our wintry valley phenomena where comparative snow dearths historically make me weep with snow envy.

As for our weather, allow me to doubly–digitize your minds and screens dashes galore, but wait, there’s more!

–High pressure builds in from the north today, producing partly sunny skies in the Berkshires, southern Greens of VT and western hilltowns and mostly sunny skies elsewhere
–Highs will reach well into the 40s, and a few spots may touch 50º, before we crash into the low to mid 20s over night
–Northerly gusts may kick up to 20mph at times, but should be otherwise fairly light
–For Friday, more high pressure weather with sunshine and highs in the upper 30s to low 40s
–Lows Friday night again drop into the low to mid 20s
–By Saturday, we’ll be stuck with easterly onshore flow with a coastal low being suppressed south, to our southeast
–This should introduce at least partly sunny skies to some areas of northeast CT and CMass with a few showers as close Worcester
–Otherwise, more sunshine and less clouds the further west you go, with highs in the upper 30s and lows in the mid 20s
–On Sunday, we’ll have an Alberta Clipper diving southeast through northern NY toward Long Island
–This will result in cloudy skies developing with highs only in the mid 30s, and light snow developing after sunset
–This is a quick, short, light little wave, but a coating to 2″ is possible in mostly SVT, WMass and north-central and northwest CT, including the Taconics
–Southwest NH and CMass may see some coatings, but might be a little too far east
–After lows in the 20s, our snow quits, and Monday through Wednesday look to feature fair weather with highs in the 35-40º range
–Another big storm is possible by Thursday night and this needs to be watched, as a night time storm arrival could produce accumulating snow and/or ice impacting the Friday morning commute, so stay tuned!

AND REMEMBER…
“Hello babies. Welcome to Earth. It’s hot in the summer and cold in the winter. It’s round and wet and crowded. On the outside, babies, you’ve got a hundred years here. There’s only one rule that I know of, babies: Goddamn it, you’ve got to be kind.”
–Kurt Vonnegut
