MORNING DISCUSSION
Good morning everybody, give somebody you love or give yourself a hug today, it’s a challenging life, and hugs make it more bearable, your prescription has been prescribed!
As for our weather, we have a few rainy bouts to move through over the next 7 days: Today, Sunday Afternoon/Night, and Thursday.
Temps through the period look more seasonable milder compared to recent early-winter chill and our first snow for some.
As for today, we have a storm passing north of and a cold front that will sweep east through the region this afternoon.
Expect mostly cloudy skies with scattered showers or periods of showers at times, some may briefly be on the heavier side.
Highs will be in the mid 40s to low 50s and lighter south wind will kick around to the west and northwest behind the front, picking up and gusting 20-35mph across the region this afternoon and tonight.
It will become blustery this evening and with lows dropping into the 20s and low 30s, some wind chills may drop into the teens.
We also may see a stray snow shower or two in this new cold advection regime, mainly confined to the Berkshires and adjacent high terrain areas.
For Saturday, high pressure builds in briefly with breezy conditions in the morning slackening by afternoon under sunny skies producing highs in the mid to upper 40s, with lows near freezing under clear skies.
By Sunday, clouds will be on the increase as a storm system sets up to make a run at us from the southwest.
This storm center will track northwest of us, keeping us on the mild side of the system, so rain is expected by early Sunday afternoon, lasting into the overnight period.
Highs will climb into the upper 40s to low 50s with lows in the upper 30s to low 40s.
Monday through Wednesday looks like a fair weather period, with a few instability showers possible Monday as a colder pool of air moves overhead with an upper level system.
Highs Monday will reach the 45-50º range with lows in the upper 20s.
Tuesday is a fair weather day with sunshine and highs in the 40s with lows in the 20s, with dry conditions last into early Wednesday morning.
Clouds build into Wednesday, as a potent cold front starts to sweep into the region draped southward off of a powerful cyclone over southeast Canada by this time.
We should see rainfall and some wind Wednesday afternoon and night before the front clears the region, leading to a cooler and blustery Thursday.
Have a great day folks!

“Hello babies. Welcome to Earth. It’s hot in the summer and cold in the winter. It’s round and wet and crowded. On the outside, babies, you’ve got a hundred years here. There’s only one rule that I know of, babies: Goddamn it, you’ve got to be kind.”
