–Winter is settling in now, folks, and for those throwing rotten tomatoes at their screen (Boo! Hiss!) just know that I’ve installed Tomato Juice Absorption Devices (TJADs) on your screens that will pull all that loveliness into my kitchen’s tomato sauce pot for later #skills
–In other news, it will be a mixed sky day with some snow showers in the Berkshires and SVT, and maybe a few more as a cold front comes through tonight
–Our weekend will be cold, mostly sunny and dry, except for a few snow showers Sunday night with another cold front
–Fair and cold weather next week through Thanksgiving Day which looks quite chilly
–Then we watch for a potential post-Thanksgiving storm, which could impact us Friday or Saturday with a mixed bag of precip

MORNING DISCUSSION
Good morning everybody, I try to put as much summary detail into the tops of these reports for skimmers, so I hope you find that useful.

As for the discussion below, let us discuss!

Well, there’s not too much to discuss today, actually. Basically we have cold conditions in place, and this looks to last until at least the following weekend and likely longer.

In other words, late Autumn and early Winter, for now, appears to be settling in, so we need to adjust our psychology, lest we torture ourselves unduly.

We have broad cyclonic flow across the region through the weekend and that will keep the lake effect snow machine dumping feet of snow east of the eastern Great Lakes, especially Lake Erie into the Buffalo metro which will see FEET of snow.

For us, WAY more pedestrian weather will produce a few snow showers or flurries today in SVT or northwest MA and the northern Taconics early, with a few more snow showers possible tonight in any part of the WMass region as a cold front moves through.

Highs under partly sunny to mostly cloudy skies will reach the upper 30s to mid 40s generally amidst westerly winds gusting up to 25mph at times, so it’ll be blustery and chilly today. Lows will crash into the upper 10s to mid 20s with a few flurries or snow showers possible.

There’s a slim chance southern parts of the northern CT counties could see some heavier snow showers tonight, but that should stay further south.

For Saturday, less wind with mostly sunny skies and highs in the upper 30s to low 40s are expected, with lows in the low 20s.

On Sunday, a cold front will move through and so some afternoon scattered snow showers are possible with highs only in the low to mid 30s and lows in the upper 10s, brrr!!!

Monday through Wednesday look fair with plenty of sunshine thanks to high pressure, and highs in the upper 30s to mid 40s with lows in the 20s.

Thanksgiving Day looks dry and sunny, but cold with highs in the mid to upper 30s and lows in the upper 10s to low 20s, but very conducive to traveling.

After that, we could see a big storm develop in the northeast U.S., but track, precip type, timing is all up in the air (pun intended) so stay tuned for updates.

Have a great day and remember to pick up one of my Local-Photo-Filled, Educational, Practical, and highly Giftable 2023 Weather Wall Calendars, as the sale ends Sunday (link below):

AND REMEMBER…
“Hello babies. Welcome to Earth. It’s hot in the summer and cold in the winter. It’s round and wet and crowded. On the outside, babies, you’ve got a hundred years here. There’s only one rule that I know of, babies: Goddamn it, you’ve got to be kind.”
–Kurt Vonnegut
