Scattered showers arrive later this afternoon and overnight.
Good morning everybody, our thunderstorm threat for this afternoon and evening has waned a bit, but that still doesn’t mean we can’t see an isolated storm later today or overnight.
We’ll start off with partly to mostly sunny skies, but clouds will increase as the day wears on, and some isolated to scattered showers are expected later this afternoon and evening. Highs will reach the low to mid 70s and southerly winds will gust up to 20mph at times.
For tonight, a warm front will approach the region, and bring a better chance for showers and thunderstorms overnight into Monday morning, with lows in the mid 50s.
For Monday, any early morning showers should give way to increasing sunshine as a cold front moves through the region around mid-day which will drop our humidity. Highs will get quite warm, reaching the upper 70s to mid 80s with lows in the 50s.
For Tuesday and Wednesday, high pressure and fair weather rules the roost with mostly sunny skies and highs in the upper 70s to low 80s and lows in the 50s with mostly clear skies Tuesday night, but increasing clouds Wednesday night.
Humidity will increase as high pressure scoots east of us, and southerly flow develops.
Thursday and Friday look showery, especially Thursday night into Friday as a cold front moves into and through the region. Highs again will be in the upper 70s to mid 80s, and then we watch for a back door cold front that may be slung southwest down into the WMass region due to a stalling storm over Atlantic Canada, which would make for a cooler weekend.
Have a great day!
