Good morning everybody, it’s getting chillier outside, with temps in the 30s and low 40s this morning. We’ve got even colder mornings ahead overnight tonight, with peak cold Wednesday night, so frosts and freezes are on the way! But before we jump into the details below, please check out a note from our local and delicious sponsor, #TandemBagelCo, who just opened a new location in West Springfield, so check it out if you’re down that way!

A NOTE FROM OUR SPONSOR:
DHTWN Is Sponsored by Members, Patrons & Tandem Bagel Company: No matter the weather, Tandem Bagel is always there for you at several valley locations to make your mornings brighter! With bagels baked fresh daily, house-whipped cream cheese, coffee, and tons of lunch options, Tandem is the perfect quick stop for lunch, breakfast, or a coffee and bagel to go. Find them in Easthampton, Northampton, Hadley, Florence (and now West Springfield!), or order online by visiting their website: https://www.tandembagelco.com

SUMMARY:
–We’ve got strong surface high pressure pressing its pressure eastward into New England today, which will keep us mostly dry
–At the same time, we’ve got an mid-level trough with some mid-level moisture swinging east into the region today, which will produce more clouds than sunshine today
–Highs will reach the mid 40s in southern VT and northwest MA on up to the upper 40s to low 50s points south and east
–For tonight, a wittle bitty wave and upslope setup works through southern VT and northwest MA, and some scattered rain and snow showers are expected, but many will stay dry
–We also can’t rule out a few scattered coatings of snow across the high peaks of southern VT or even Greylock in Adams, MA
–Frost is expected tonight in many spots, with lows in the upper 20s to low 30s, so gardeners and plant-tenders, you must execute your frost/freeze operations, forthwith
–For Wednesday, The Coolening deepens as the broad trough swings overhead and brings cooler air with it, resulting in highs only in the 45-50º range under mostly sunny skies
–Lows will be the coldest yet, crashing into the mid to upper 20s, with hard freezes expected just about everywhere
–Thursday through Saturday looks partly to mostly sunny and cool, with highs 45-50º through the period, and lows in the 20s to low 30s, a prolonged series of frosty nights is on tap
–By late weekend into early next week we may see a coastal storm get close enough to give us some activity, though for now, it likely stays south and away from us
–All in all, we’ve got a cool, but very nice and dry autumnal stretch of weather ahead, which is welcome after our historic Nor’easter the other day that lashed the north and south shores of MA, down into the Cape and Islands!

Have a great day!
