Good morning everybody, our cold front is through the region, and our temps are chilly this morning. We’ve got mostly fair weather for at least the next 4 days and maybe longer.

We’ll jump into all those details below like a dog tearing through a bowl of kibble, but first let’s get a word from our local and delicious sponsor. #FoodIsGood

DISCUSSION:
May things go right for you today, some how and in some way, that’s totally unexpected to remind you that good things can usually be found all around you.

As for our weather, high pressure will build in from the west and produce a mostly sunny day to start with highs only in the upper 50s to mid 60s.

Clouds will likely build in the afternoon and we can’t rule out a sprinkle or light shower as a cold pool of air associated with an upper level system that dives southeast into our region, so it won’t be mostly sunny all day.

For tonight, a mostly cloudy sky is expected with potential for a few more light showers, but they would be widely scattered. Lows will be in the low to mid 40s.

Our upper level low pushes that cold pool of air (which will be below zero a few miles up) firmly over New England, which could again destabilize the atmosphere enough to get some rising air going and pop a few light showers in the high terrain.

Otherwise, expect a partly to mostly sunny day with highs only in the mid 50s to near 60º with low 50s possible in southern VT and southwest NH – bundle up!

Lows will plummet into the 35-40º range overnight as radiational cooling is produced by calm wind, clearing skies, and low humidity. Frost isn’t expected, although we can’t rule it out in a few of the most sheltered valleys up in SVT and SWNH.

Friday and Saturday look like a pair of winners with mostly sunny skies and high pressure dominating our weather.

Highs Friday look to reach the upper 50s to mid 60s with lows in the low to mid 40s, and highs on Saturday will be more in the mid to upper 60s with lows in the mid to upper 40s.

By Sunday, we may have a problem, Houston, and that has to do with potential for a disturbance or series of disturbances that may be allowed to traverse the gap between a system in the North Atlantic and a ridge in the middle of the country.

This could bring showers starting Sunday afternoon or evening, and lasting into early next week, so stay tuned for updates.

Have a great day, and if you get to have a meal or 2 or 3 today, remember that you’re one of the lucky ones in this world.
