Western Mass Weather for Sept. 11, 2021

COUPLA FRONTS SUNDAY NIGHT AND WEDNESDAY NIGHT WITH DRY WEATHER IN BETWEEN… THROUGH TUESDAY, WE’RE UP TO THE GILLS WITH NO-BIG-WHOOP WEATHER… MID TO LATE WEEK, MAYBE A DIFFERENT STORY… BUT HEY, AT LEAST WE DON’T LIVE IN EASTERN GREENLAND WHICH WILL SLAM TROPICAL MOISTURE INTO ARCTIC AIR TO PRODUCE SERIOUS SNOWFALL… SENDING MY BEST TO THOSE DIRECTLY CONNECTED TO WHAT HAPPENED 20 YEARS AGO THIS MORNING… 7:10am Sat…

Good morning everybody, I wanted to first acknowledge the 20-year anniversary of 9/11 this morning. I usually keep it all weather here, but that infamous day is etched in my memory forever, as I imagine yours, too. I’m sending my love and well wishes to those who were directly connected to the events of that day, who were directly impacted by it, and who may have lost someone or had friends/family that were injured.

As for our weather, it is most pedestrian for our Saturday – a mostly sunny, light-winded, dry, and temperate kick off to the weekend with highs in the low to mid 70s, and lows in the 50s overnight.

For Sunday, we’re warming as high pressure passes south of us. We’ll reach the 75-80º range under mostly sunny skies, but humidity will be building and showers and thunderstorms will move in overnight into early Monday morning with the passage of a cold front.

Highs Monday will reach the mid to upper 70s with early morning showers, followed by partly sunny skies developing. Lows will dip into the mid to upper 50s.

Tuesday looks like the pick of next week, with partly sunny skies and highs again in the mid to upper 70s, though clouds may build in late.

A stronger cold front will approach on Wednesday, and we’ll see some showers and thunderstorms develop ahead of it. Wednesday looks quite warm, with highs in the upper 70s to mid 80s. The late week period looks showery at times with highs in the 70s.

Have a great day!
