WEATHER REPORT
We have entered a quiet period after our recent stormy one, and some of us look like nothing happened, where others are in a total winter wonderland this morning!
Please post your wintry pics below, would love to see them if you took any shots last night or this morning when you got up!
For the rest of the report, I am going to double-dash it, as there isn’t a ton to talk about, here goes nothing.
SUMMARY
–Our storm is spinning like a cinnamon swirl bun in the atmosphere way northeast of us, and these final morning clouds will continue to clear the region
–A mostly sunny day develops but with northwest winds gusting 20-30mph or so, along with highs only in the upper 20s for the high terrain and mid 30s for the valleys, wind chill readings will only be in the teens and 20s today as you can see in the attached graphic
–Lows tonight will crash into the upper teens to low 20s under mostly clear skies, with a northwest breeze continuing, but with less vigor than today. With zero wind, we’d be even colder tonight!
–Watch for black ice overnight and into the morning on driveways, walkways, back roads exposed to sun, etc.
–Monday and Tuesday will be dominate by high pressure and will be cold with highs in the low to mid 30s under mostly sunny skies and lows in the low 20s each night
–We can’t rule out a flurry Monday night
–For Wednesday, we moderate slightly, with highs in the mid to upper 30s under mostly sunny skies, but at night a weak wave may pass through with a warm front and bring a few snow showers overnight with lows in the upper 20s to low 30s
–Thursday and Friday look a bit milder, with highs in the low to mid 40s under partly sunny skies, and lows near freezing
–More rain is possible by Saturday afternoon as the next storm takes aim at our region, though this one, for now, is more likely to be an inside runner, and track west of us, keeping us on the warm side of the storm
