Good morning everybody, while it’s been very dry at most surfaces this morning, we did have some light snow and/or ice move through earlier representing a warm frontal passage.
With light southerly flow getting established this morning, we could see some freezing drizzle in spots, as temps are currently in the upper 20s to low 30s.
As the morning wears on, any freezing temps should moderate, eventually settling into the upper 30s to low 40s for highs with a few isolated showers possible during our mostly cloudy day.
However, we can’t rule out isolated high-terrain pockets of southern VT, northwest MA and southwest NH seeing freezing drizzle into the early afternoon.
For tonight, southerly flow continues and another warm front will approach the region, spreading more scattered showers through our woods and ‘hoods.
Lows will remain fairly steady off of the Wednesday highs, somewhere around the 35-40º range.
By Thanksgiving morning, we’re going to be raining, and it could fall heavily at times. It will ebb and flow, as moisture works up from the south, and our storm system tracks to our northwest.
Highs will only be in the mid to upper 40s, so much less mild than thought a few days ago!
We could even see a thunderstorm work through the region. Hooray!! #NOT
Hopefully our showers kick out of here by 3pm or so, but that’s not guaranteed either, though the coverage of showers by that time should be more spotty.
Lows will again be near the Thursday highs, dropping into the low to mid 40s tomorrow night with an isolated shower possible early, and patchy fog as the night wears on.
Wish I had better weather news for tomorrow, folks.
By Friday, high pressure starts to build in and kicks out storm system to the curb. Partly sunny skies are expected, with highs in the low to mid 50s, and lows in the upper 30s.
The weekend looks fair as well, but cooler, with highs only in the mid to upper 40s both days with lows near freezing, but at least plenty of sunshine is expected.
By early next week, a powerful storm system may take shape over the region, opening the moisture floodgates from the Gulf of Mexico, and fostering downpours and strong southerly and southeasterly winds, so stay tuned for updates on that.
Hope you have a great day, and be nice to each other and yourself!! :-)
