Good morning everybody, not too much to discuss in the weather department today, although the big news item is the brief shot of Arctic air that will spread through the region starting tonight and leaving Thursday morning, so allow me to don my quiver of double-dashes and use my sleep-deprived fingers to tap them across the screen of your brain this morn:

SUMMARY
–An upper trough swings through the region today, with a surface Clipper low that will track southeast and off to our south
–It’s fairly moisture-starved, but represented the leading edge of a secondary cold front that will bring much colder air into the region tonight
–Along with that, will come some scattered rain and snow showers this afternoon, with a better chance of a few snow showers tonight, abating by morning
–Any sunny breaks this morning give way to overcast skies today, with highs in the upper 30s to mid 40s
–Tonight, northwest winds will gust over 20mph at times, and a few snow showers will be around, with a few dustings possible, but no big deal
–Lows will drop like a rock into the upper teens to mid 20s but with northwest breezes, wind chills could reach down into the upper single digits to teens at times, BRRR!!!
–For Wednesday, a Winter day is in store. It’ll be sunny, yes, but northwest breezes will gust to 20mph at times, and highs will be in the low to mid 30s, maybe even just the upper 20s for southern VT
–Lows will be in the mid to upper teens, super cold for tomorrow night!
–Thursday, high pressure will be building through the region, and passing to our south, putting us in a return southerly flow
–Highs will be in the low 40s with lows in the low to mid 30s under partly sunny skies
–More partly sunny skies will be featured for Friday and Saturday as the clash of incoming milder air with departing cold will produce fair weather clouds
–Highs Friday through Sunday will be in the low to mid 50s with lows near 40º, along with fair weather
–By Monday another system may bring some rain, and more showers could move through late Wednesday into early Thanksgiving Day. More on that as we get closer

Hope you have a great day, and be sure to check out my 2021 Weather Calendar below, thank you
