Good morning folks, it’s a double–dash kind of day, so let’s short-and-sweetify this sucker and get down to bizness!
SUMMARY
–Mostly sunny skies rule today as high pressure passes east off of the Mid-Atlantic coast and helps to keep most showers and storms well north of the WMass region today and tonight
–Highs will reach the low to mid 80s, with dry conditions and lower humidity present
–It is possible that northern Bennington, Windham and Cheshire Counties up in SVT and SWNH get grazed by a shower or storm by this evening
–Lows tonight will settle into the low 60s
–For Saturday, heat builds more, with highs in the mid to upper 80s with humidity beginning to increase
–We can’t rule out an isolated shower or thunderstorm in the afternoon, especially over the high terrain
–Lows will again drop into the low 60s under mostly clear skies
–By Sunday, humidity will be fully in place, and it will be muggy with highs in the 85-90º range as we get our late summer surge
–A pre-frontal trough area of instability will develop in the WMass region, and so scattered showers and thunderstorms are expected in the afternoon and evening
–Again, not everyone gets one, but some will
–Lows will be in the low to mid 60s with humid conditions continuing
–For Monday and Tuesday, humidity should continue with a chance for scattered showers or a storm each afternoon
–Monday will be warmer with highs in the 85-90º range, and on Tuesday highs will be in the low to mid 80s
–For Wednesday and beyond next week, uncertainty remains. It looked clear that cooler and drier weather would arrive, but now I’m not so sure, so I will update you as we get closer.
Have a great day!
