Good morning everybody, I hope you all slept well, as the weather certainly cooperated!
It started off in the upper 40s to mid 50s this morning, which is chilly!
Surface high pressure is slowly building east-southeastward into the Mid-Atlantic and New England regions of the U.S. this mid-week as an upper level trough swings through southeast Canada and an upper level ridge sits over and roasts the southwest U.S. with very hot temperatures in the triple digits.
For us today, a mix of sunshine and some clouds will play out during the day, and we can’t rule out a few isolated light to moderate showers.
Highs will reach the low to upper 70s and be accompanied by light west winds, with lows dropping into the upper 40s to low 50s tonight with some patchy fog possible late.
For Thursday, mostly sunny skies develop as said high pressure crests through the region, with its center destined to pass to our south by Friday and early this coming weekend.
Highs will reach the 75-80º range, and it will be super dry as it will be today (Wednesday). Lows Thursday night will be in the low to mid 50s.
For Friday, we start to warm a bit as a southerly flow sets up into New England.
Another gorgeous and warmer day can be expected, with mostly sunny skies and highs in the low to mid 80s, with a few upper 80s possible in the Springfield/Hartford metro corridor. Lows will dip into the upper 50s to low 60s.
For Saturday, we get a brief taste of the summer heat we experienced in July, with highs reaching the mid to upper 80s, and even some low 90s in the hot spots of the southern Pioneer Valley of WMass down into portions of northern CT.
Mostly sunny skies are expected, and humidity will be increasing, with dewpoints in the low to mid 60s, but nothing overly oppressive in the Department of Mugginess. Lows bottom out in the low to mid 60s.
For Sunday, clouds will be on the increase as an upper level system moves toward southeastern Canada, and starts to bring float a cold front our way that will produce some scattered showers and thunderstorms Sunday into Monday night with highs in the low to mid 80s, and lows in the low to mid 60s.
More seasonable, sunnier, and drier conditions arrive by Tuesday into next week which looks to feature warm high temps in the low to possibly mid 80s during that stretch.
Have a great day and I hope some of you were able to watch Transperformance yesterday evening!
