Good morning folks, I hope this new day bestows a great laugh with a friend, a key lesson to take forward in your life that’s helpful, or just a good meal with family, friends, or by yourself.
As for our weather, we thankfully have a period of fair conditions to enjoy into the middle of the week before a warm front passes Wednesday night, a cold front passes Thursday night, and a possible coastal storm impacts us for late Friday night into Saturday. Thereafter, winter sets back in after this milder stretch we’ve had.
In other words, there’s lots to run through, but before we jump into our weather details, I’ve got a note from our local and delicious sponsor, #TandemBagelCo, who just opened a new location in West Springfield, MA.

WEATHER BULLETIN:
–Good morning to you, we’ve got a patch of clouds that need to work through the region from northwest to southeast this morning
–These are in response to an upper level frontal boundary, but no rain or snow is expected
–In fact, we’ll clear out by mid day or so with sunshine developing, which will push highs into the mid 40s to low 50s, a most pleasant day!
–For tonight, we will have clear skies early with the Geminid Meteor Shower peaking overnight.
–Peak viewing looks to be before dawn after the moon sets, but we’ll have some clouds working back through, so it’s not optimal viewing
–Still, for those interested in learning more, just click below: https://earthsky.org/astronomy-essentials/everything-you-need-to-know-geminid-meteor-shower/
–Lows tonight will drop to near freezing, and skies will be clear through midnight or so, with some partial cloudiness building in as a dry cold front is set to move through Tuesday
–For Tuesday, it will be cooler behind the front, with morning clouds, and afternoon sunshine. Highs will rise into the low/mid 40s
–Lows Tuesday night will cold, getting down into the low to mid 20s under partly cloudy skies
–For Wednesday, clouds build with highs in the low to mid 40s, and some showers should arrive by later in the afternoon and overnight with a warm frontal passage
–Southern VT may mix with snow or sleet before changing to rain, and lows in the WMass region will drop into the mid to upper 30s
–For Thursday, we’ll get a spike of mildness as the warm front moves through with high pressure to our south and east, and highs reaching the low to mid 50s
–More showers move back in Thursday night with the cold front and lows in the 30s
–Friday is cooler, with highs in the 40s under mostly sunny skies, then we look to Friday night into Saturday which may feature a coastal storm that taps some cold air, and provides a wintry mix here, but it’s still too early to talk more about it
–The bottom line is that colder air is coming back to the region, and Sunday will be quite cold near freezing for highs!
–Early next week may provide some snowy surprises too, so stay tuned for updates
Live long and prosper, be nice and stuff, and have a great day!
