QUICK KEY FACTS:
–The photo contest ends 9/3/22 just before midnight
–If selected, your photo(s) will likely reach well over 1000 of your neighbors
–In addition, they would be seen by tens of thousands on my FB page during the marketing campaign
–See below for the section called “NATURE SCENES” regarding photo content, but photo locations should be within our lovely greater WMass region, which includes S.VT, SW.NH, W.Mass, C.Mass, & N.CT.

LOGISTICS AND CONSIDERATIONS:

–SEASONALITY: Photos should visually represent our region’s nature during each season: Autumn (foliage-y), Winter (snow-y, icy, cold), Spring (flowery, life resurging, greenery, change of season) and Summer (thunderstormy, sunny, hot).

–FINALISTS: I will be selecting up to 13 finalists (twelve monthly photos, and one cover photo).
–NOTIFICATION: You’ll be notified by email around the middle of September if one or more of your images was selected
–ATTRIBUTION: Finalist’s names will be printed on the inside cover of the calendar with your website so folks can learn more. Your name will also be located under each photo with a caption of the photo’s location, including city/town.
–NATURE SCENES: Photos should be outdoor Nature scenes from across our region, preferably of regional and/or well-known vistas (think gorgeous clouds, skies, sunsets, sunrises, lakes, ponds, fields, mountains, notable natural landmarks… in short, any image that represents our region’s land, terrain, and natural beauty
–BARNS YES, PETS NO: Pics with old barns or New England-y properties are also ok, but no portraits of people or pets, please

IMAGE SPECIFICATIONS
–COLOR: Photos MUST be full-color images (no black and whites, or duotones).
–RESOLUTION: Images should be sent at the best/highest resolution available from your camera.
–ORIENTATION: Images should be landscape/horizontal orientation only (no portrait/vertical shots).
–DIMENSION: Aspect ratio should generally be 3 wide by 2 tall
–IMAGE SIZE: If you used a smartphone camera, please export your photo at “actual size”.
–IMAGE FILE TYPE: JPEG files from smartphone cameras are acceptable file formats.
–DSLR PHOTOGS: Full resolution TIFF files, or High resolution JPEG files are also acceptable.
–NO FILE EDITS: Do not filter your image (e.g. sharpening), or alter the resolution of your submitted file, as that will be handled as part of the print production process.
–IMAGE DATE: Photos can be from any time in the past, not just 2022
