Western Mass Weather for September 11, 2019

MORNING SHOWERS TRACKING ESE THROUGH SVT, WMASS AND NORTHWEST CT GIVES WAY TO A HUMID AND VERY WARM DAY… A FEW MORE SHOWERS TOMORROW AND MUCH COOLER… SWEET FRIDAY, SHOWERY SATURDAY, SUCCULENT SUNDAY, AND PRETTY NICE NEXT WEEK… (7:15AM Wed)

Good morning everybody, we’ve got clouds around on this increasingly humid morning, and showers have already entered SVT. Those will move into WMass and western CT soon enough, and even though they appear to be weakening during their transit to the east, some of us will get wet this morning. In addition, we can’t rule out a rumble of thunder in western CT and the southern Taconics, as well. Wind gusts could push 20-30mph at times today.

After that, we should get a partly sunny day to develop, and highs should shoot up into the low to mid 80s with humid conditions – late summah flexes its biceps! A later day isolated shower or thunderstorm is possible.

For tonight, we dry out, and drop down into the low 60s for lows as drier air starts to seep back into the region.

Thursday will be much cooler with highs near 70 degrees and a few scattered showers possible. Temps will plummet Thursday night as skies clear and radiational cooling sets up, with lows in the mid to upper 40s.

Friday is going to be a cool and crisp day, as high pressure builds, producing mostly sunny skies with highs 65-70 degrees, and lows in the low 50s with clouds increasing.

Another front will have to pass through on Saturday, which will bring more scattered showers and highs in the low 70s, with lows in the 50s.

Sunday will be the pick of the weekend, yahoo! Highs will be well into the 70s behind the front, with mostly sunny skies.

Fair and seasonable weather will dominate the early-next-week period. Have a great day!
