Western Mass Weather for October 29, 2018

SEASONABLE FALL TEMPS ON THE WAY AS WE LEAVE OUR EARLY SEASON COLD SNAP BEHIND… RAIN THIS MORNING INTO EARLY AFTERNOON GIVES WAY TO DRYING… FAIR WEATHER MID WEEK… MORE RAIN LATE WEEK (AND MUCH MILDER)… SPLIT WEEKEND AHEAD… (6:30am Mon)

Good morning everybody, and to the fans out there, big congrats to the Red Sox!

For this morning, we’re starting out in the 40s, some of us with rain showers moving through, others with cloudy skies and light winds.

Showers, with some downpours and a possible thunderstorm (best chance for storms being mainly over northeast CT into CMass) will rule our morning and into the early afternoon as the storm moves overhead and up into Maine.

Highs will reach the upper 40s to low 50s, and lows will dip into the upper 30s tonight under partly cloudy skies.

For Tuesday, high pressure crests overhead with sunshine and highs in the low 50s, and lows in the low 30s.

For the rest of the week, valley locations should reach the low 60s throughout, with 50s in the high terrain! Let the #Mildening2018 commence!

Wednesday looks partly sunny as our high departs to the east, with some showers possible in eastern NY, the Berkshires, and SVT late in the day and at night.

A cold front moves closer on Thursday, and a strong southwest flow is established with continued mild temps. More in the way of showers is expected, and then a wave looks to move along this front and bring more widespread rain to us on Friday.

Hopefully, this whole system and front clears the region by Saturday, but for now it looks like a few showers are possible Saturday morning with a mostly cloudy day and drying in the afternoon, and then a nice sunny SunDay. We take what we can get in the Sunshine Department.

Have a great day!
