SUMMARY
–Good morning denizens of southwestern New England, hill and dale dwellers of the golden West!
–We’re starting off in the low 30s to low 40s across the region this morning, with some cloud cover along and west of the CT River
–Areas east of the river, and especially into CMass are more clear
–As high pressure moves through the region today, we are expected to break the clouds up and enjoy partly to mostly sunny skies today
–It will be cold and brisk, but beautiful outside, it looks like
–We clear even more tonight, and winds will die down, so radiational cooling will be maximized
–Some of the coldest air of the season will settle in tonight
–For Friday, our storm is on the march, and as such, we should see more clouds than today
–Still, it should be partly sunny on average with highs in the mid 40s to low 50s

——————————
–Clouds increase tomorrow night with lows in the low to mid 30s, with freezing temps most likely over the Berkshires, SVT, and other high terrain areas
–Precipitation is expected to spread south to north into the region BEFORE dawn, sometime around 4am or 5am in northwestern CT and the Litchfields
–As this precip moves in, it appears some towns (especially the northern Berkshires, northern Taconics, southern Greens and even some western hilltowns) will see a period of snow and sleet
–It’s possible that it will snow or sleet heavily for a time, with some light accumulations possible before changing to plain rain as the morning wears on
–While folks in the valley may see a few sleet pellets mixed in, we should quickly go to all rain, or just experience all rain from the onset Sat. AM
–Saturday will be a rainy, raw today with highs in the low to mid 40s, with rain continuing into Saturday night with lows 35-40, yuck.
–Sunday into Monday still looks showery at times, but it’s possible now that we see partly sunny skies by Tuesday and Wed with highs 45-50
–A slight moderating trend in the temperature department is expected through next week, and conditions look generally fair
