Western Mass Weather for November 6, 2018

A CLOUDY MORNING GIVES WAY TO HEAVY RAIN AT TIMES WITH T-STORMS POSSIBLE THIS AFTERNOON… A COUPLE OF FAIR WEATHER DAYS WED AND THURS LEAD TO MORE RAIN FRIDAY BEFORE WE COOL AND DRY FOR THE WEEKEND… VOTE TODAY… (6:10am Tues)

Good morning everybody, pontifications via bulletizations are what’s for breakfast…. mmmmm….

–We’re starting off with cloudy conditions. Drizzle and patchy fog are possible in spots, with temps in the 40s generally, some upper 30s in SVT
–Highs today should reach the low to mid 50s with the warm front more likely than not staying south of us
–This morning will generally be cloudy without precipitation, but an isolated shower or two can’t be ruled out
–After the morning, a sweeping cold front draped southward off a storm racing through the eastern Great Lakes moves into the region
–This will focus showers, downpours, and even a few thunderstorms across NCT, ENY, WMASS, CMASS, SVT and SWNH this afternoon and evening
–Some ponding on road ways is possible, and a few isolated damaging wind gusts can’t be ruled out
–If the warm front can nudge into southeastern CT, RI and southeast MA, or a little further north, a weak tornado or water spout is possible

–For tonight, showers and storms should exit before midnight, and will begin to dry and clear with lows in the 40s
–Wednesday will be the mildest day we see for the next 7 at least, with highs in the mid to upper 50s and mostly sunny skies as high pressure builds in
–Westerly wind gusts will blow to 30mph at times
–Lows Wed. night drop into the 30s
–Thursday is also sunny, but cooler. Highs will be in the mid to upper 40s with lows either side of the freezing mark
–If precip makes it in here fast enough Friday morning, we could see some snow showers
–Otherwise, Friday is expected to be a rainy day throughout as another storm passes to our west and sweeps another cold front through the region
–Highs will be in the 40s and lows in the 30s
–High pressure builds in this weekend, and after a morning shower or morning clouds, Saturday becomes a nice partly sunny day with highs in the mid to upper 40s
–Sunday is cooler with sunshine and highs in the low 40s, possibly upper 30s for SVT and the Berkshires
–Next week is looking cold, and wintry precip is not out of the question, so stay tuned!

Have a great day!
