Good morning everybody, thankfully we’ve got a milder couple of days on the way before we deal with a mixed precip slop event, and then highly anomalous cold by mid-week. It looks like we will milden back up late week, cool back down next weekend, and then come back up to more seasonable temps the following week for mid-November. With that said, double-dashes below will take us home.

SUMMARY
–Expect more clouds than sun today with a milder southwest flow thanks to high pressure departing to our east
–Moisture slowly starts to increase each day before the front passes Tuesday
–Highs will reach the mid to upper 40s today with lows in the low to mid 30s
–We’re cloudy tomorrow with highs in the mid to upper 40s across much of the region, except mid 30s to low 40s in SVT
–Scattered rain and snow showers should do the SVT SWNH landscape, and may even make it as far south as the Rt. 2 corridor in WMass
–By Monday night, any rain showers should be changing to snow showers in SVT and SWNH, possibly down into the border towns with WMass, with rain showers elsewhere in the WMass region
–Lows will reach the low to mid 30s. Patchy fog is possible
–While precip should be mostly light for this cold frontal precip event, it may pick up in intensity on Tuesday as the front pulls through the region
–Any rain will be changing to ice and then snow throughout the region Tuesday, before ending by mid afternoon or so
–Highs will sit in the low to mid 30s, and temps will tumble Tuesday afternoon
–A coating to an inch or so east of the western hiltowns, and south of the Rt. 2 corridor looks about right
–1-4″ of snow north of the Rt. 2 corridor, in the western hilltowns, Berkshires, Litchfields, Taconics, SVT and SWNH looks likely at the moment
–Tuesday night, brutal cold arrives, with lows in the upper single digits to low teens. Many record lows are possible on this night, which will feature clearing skies
–Wednesday is sunny, but just awful if you hate winter weather. Highs in the low to mid 20s, northwest winds gusting 30-40mph, wind chills near or below zero first thing in the morning, and in the single digits during the day, bundle up!
–One more brutally cold night Wednesday night with upper singles to low teens then begets a mildening trend
–Thursday is still plenty cold with highs in the upper 20s to mid 30s, but winds should be lower under partly sunny skies. Lows will near 20 degrees.
–Friday hits 40 degrees, but then another cold front moves through bringing highs in the 30s Saturday
–Still, fair weather dominates Wednesday into the weekend, so that’s good
–Milder temps are expected next week

Have a great day!
