Good morning everybody, we’ve woken up to very mild temps, already in the low to mid 60s, but they won’t budge much at all today. In fact, we’re pretty much looking at our high temps for the day before 8am!

We’ve got scattered showers dilly-dallying across the region, not moving too fast, and dropping their hydrometeorological bounty across various towns and neighborhoods this morning. Some showers may be heavy at times, but most should be light to moderate. A cloudy day is on tap.

Highs will be, well, they are… low to mid 60s for the most part. An east wind will develop, and could gust to 20mph in spots. Showers should consolidate to near and south of the MA Pike, and mainly into northern CT by mid afternoon, and then pull south and east of even there by dinner time, and certainly by sunset.

Tonight, the storm responsible for our gray sky malaise will kick east, and clouds will start to break overnight. Lows should drop into the low 40s.

For Sunday, sunshine returns as high pressure builds into the region. However, with a northeasterly flow, temps will hold into the mid to upper 60s for highs, with lows in the mid 40s.

For Memorial Day Monday, partly sunny skies and dry weather will rule the roost with highs in the upper 60s to low 70s as the last of the easterly flow days comes and goes. Beyond that, our temps will soar. Lows will be in the middle 50s.

Tuesday transitions us into early summer warmth with mostly sunny skies, a southerly flow, and plenty of sunshine with highs in the low to mid 80s and lows near 60 degrees.

Humidity arrives on Wednesday as temps rise further, reaching the 85-90º range that will last through Thursday. Lows will only be in the low to mid 60s Wednesday night and Thursday night and with humidity building, we’ll start having dreams of air conditioners.

Friday could feature some isolated showers and thunderstorms with continued humidity and highs in the low to mid 80s.

A cold front will press through the region Friday night into Saturday and drop temps back down into the 70s for highs with lower humidity developing through the weekend.

Have a good day, folks!
