Western Mass Weather for May 14, 2019

ONE MORE GRAY DAY WITH SHOWERS MAINLY LATE IN THE DAY INTO THE EVENING BEFORE WE START GETTING MORE SUNSHINE TO REVEAL ITSELF ONCE AGAIN FOR MID WEEK… INCREASING MILD TEMPS AS WE HEAD TO THE WEEKEND, WITH A CHANCE TO BREAK 70 DEGREES ON SUNDAY… (6:25am Tues)

Good morning everybody, please post any snow totals you received last night. Luckily, the precip shield broke up a bit and ended sooner, as well as temps earlier in the day having risen a few degrees warmer with more sunny breaks than thought.

Because of this, we didn’t get cold enough as fast, and precip wasn’t as heavy for long enough to reach those larger totals I had been posting.

SUMMARY
–For the rest of the day, any patchy drizzle or light showers wane
–We should see mostly cloudy skies and highs in the low to mid 40s from high terrain to low, where some upper 40s are also possible.
–An upper level low will have to drag across the region on its way east of here
–This will allow for the shower chance during the day, with the best chance of steadier, heavier showers moving in by late afternoon and early evening
–Some scattered rain showers will be possible tomorrow night with lows in the upper 30s
–For Wednesday though Friday we should see some partly sunny periods, with a stray shower possible each day
–Highs will be warming, with 50s on Wednesday and 60s on Thursday and Friday for the valley/low terrain, with highs in the 40s for Wednesday and highs in the 50s for Thursday and Friday in the high terrain
–High pressure makes more of an effort over the weekend with temps warming well into the 60s to near 70 degrees, with partly to mostly sunny skies

Have a great day!
