(SAT REPORT) LIGHT SNOW LOOKING MORE LIKELY ALONG AND SOUTH OF THE PIKE INTO CT FOR EARLY MONDAY MORNING… BEFORE THAT, WE HAVE A BEAUTIFUL AND MILD HOLIDAY WEEKEND… EXPECT WINDY CONDITIONS LATER TODAY AND TOMORROW, SCATTERED RAIN OR SNOW SHOWERS POSSIBLE OVERNIGHT TONIGHT WITH COLD FRONT….
Good morning everybody, Happy Passover and Happy Easter to those who are celebrating this weekend. We have got a beautiful weekend coming up. Despite a few mixed showers during late tonight and tomorrow morning, the trend will be towards plenty of sunshine and very mild temps with highs well into the mid to upper 50s (upper 50s today, mid 50s tomorrow). I will bulletize my remaining report:
–Ahead of our cold frontal passage late tonight, we will rise into the low 50s in the Berks and mid/upper 50s in the valley today
–Expect mostly sunny skies with calm winds early.
–Winds will increase later today out of the south and gust to 30mph at times
–Clouds increase late tonight with lows in the low to mid 30s
–Mixed showers of rain and snow late tonight into early tomorrow morning will accompany our cold frontal passage
–For tomorrow, clouds and scattered showers early will give way to mostly sunny skies with highs in the mid 50s
–Cold air lagging the cold front will steadily and surely be advected into the region on gusty west winds of up to 30-40mph on Sunday, so have some layers ready, especially during the second half of the day
–Temps will plummet into the low to mid 20s for lows Sunday night
–Meanwhile, a quick-moving northern stream low pressure system will race east and pass south of New England
–While this storm will likely bring Advisory-level accumulating snow to the Mid-Atlantic region, it should only result in a coating to 2″ at most from the MassPike south into CT
–Provided the storm doesn’t come any further north, roads should stay mainly wet with any accumulation on grassy surfaces
–Less snow to the north, more towards the coast will be the rule
–Any snow clears out by Monday afternoon with highs in the 40s, and lows in the 20s Monday night
–Then, another warm front approaches Tuesday and if it gets in here early enough, we could snow for a bit Tuesday morning before changing to rain showers during the day
–A steadier rainstorm is expected on Wednesday before we cool down by later in the week
Have a great day!
