AN AFTERNOON ISOLATED SHOWER OR THUNDERSTORM CAN’T BE RULED OUT TODAY, BUT COVERAGE WILL BE WIDELY SCATTERED… OTHERWISE, IT WILL BE BREEZY AND PARTLY TO MOSTLY SUNNY, WITH MOSTLY SUNNY AND WARMER CONDITIONS SUNDAY AND MONDAY BEFORE SHOWERS MOVE BACK INTO THE PICTURE BY TUESDAY… (6:55AM SAT)
Good morning everybody, it wasn’t as clear to me yesterday as to the potential of fleeting-yet-remnant moisture along with steep low level lapse rates to combine into an isolated shower and storm possibility, but that is now on the table today.
As temps soar into the 70s, a cold pool of air will move overhead, which will cause a sharper gradient of warm to cold temps from surface to sky over a fairly short elevation.
Mostly, we’ll see partly to mostly sunny skies today with highs in the mid to upper 70s, but some clouds will build in the afternoon, and said isolated shower or storm is possible.
Northwest winds will gust to 25mph or so, and any showers will quit as the sun goes down, leaving us with mostly clear skies and lows in the low to mid 50s.
Sunday is the pick of the weekend for sure with highs in the upper 70s to low/mid 80s with sunny skies and calm winds. Lows will drop into the mid 50s under mostly clear skies.
One more high pressure day on Monday brings mostly sunny skies, dry conditions, and highs in the upper 70s to mid 80s.
Humidity increases late at night, along with clouds, and a warm front will bring some showers on Tuesday and Tuesday night. Highs all next week look to crest into the upper 70s to low 80s with afternoon showers and storms possible.
Still, no big heat waves in sight, no big severe weather outbreaks, and no super horrible humidity out breaks.
It’s been a pretty tame warm season so far, folks.
I guess Mother Nature finally heard my please for max 85 degree temp summers.
