Good morning everybody, I just want to start off as a reminder that my all-caps headlines are never yelling at you. I use them because without universally-accepted formatting ability of text in FB, the headline needs to stand out in newsfeed, so that’s why I do it.

In other news, we’ve got dense fog in spots that formed early morning, but that is in the process of burning off, or has burned off given the rising sun angle, warming temps, and an expected increase in breezes to help mix it out.

This will reveal a hot and humid (but dry) day with highs in the upper 80s to low 90s – the start of a bonafide heat wave for some of us into Monday, if not Tuesday as well!

Because of this and the Heat Advisories that are in effect for much of the WMass region for Sunday and Monday, I am trotting out and attaching my heat graphics package so you can learn more and download those infographics for future reference.

The last thing we need is to succumb to preventable heat illnesses for ourselves or for our pets when we know better, if we can help it.

Ok, it’s time for a Summah-ry to take this one home. Ready boys?! A one, and a two, and a three, and a four, and a….

SUMMAH-RY
–Tonight is the best night for Comet Neowise viewing in the NW sky, below and in proximity to the Big Dipper, about 20º above the horizon, starting at 9:15-9:30pm and lasting until before midnight when it falls below the horizon
–Post your Neowise picks below this post later tonight!
–Tonight will be mostly clear with lows in the mid to upper 60s with similar dewpoints
–Sunday is HOT. Highs will be in the low to upper 90s for the hottest day so far this warm season.
–It will be mostly sunny, and dewpoints will rise into the low 70s which will be muggier than today
–Lows will only drop into the low to mid 70s, highly sub-optimal sleeping weather
–On Monday, humidity maximizes with dewpoints in the low to mid 70s, and highs in the upper 80s to mid 90s
–A pre-frontal trough will push into the region, so skies will be partly sunny, and then clouds increase later in the day
–Scattered showers and thunderstorms will form in the afternoon, and some may become severe
–Lows Monday night will drop into the mid 60s as slightly drier air works into the region
–Tuesday will feature highs in the mid 80s to low 90s with a day of slightly less humid conditions. It may even be somewhat comfortable for a day, but we will see as we get closer
–Then another surge of humidity will muggify the region once again Wednesday with a stronger chance at showers, downpours and thunderstorms Wednesday into Thursday with highs in the 80s and soupy air before we can dry it out for Friday

Have a great day, and stay hydrated and as cool as you can into early next week!
