Given this, and having been spared any sort of carpal (crappy?) tunnel or pernicious tendinitis up to this point, tappity tappity tap my fingers shall go in an effort to reliably get our regional weather news delivered to your pre-frontal cortices forthwith.

SYNOPSISUMMARY
–Some areas are below freezing this morning, and there is some fog around in patches
–This means that some icy patches are also possible, so be alert when traveling/ambulating this morning
–We should see a mostly cloudy day, but a few patches of early sun are possible
–Highs will reach the upper 30s to low 40s before clouds really thicken up later this afternoon
–By evening, some scattered light mixed precip is expected as a warm front lifts through
–Some folks in SVT/SWNH, and/or north of Route 2 in northern MA may see a bit of snow or sleet mixed in with rain, while others may just see plain rain or freezing drizzle. A light smorgasbord of untoward hydrometeors, something for everyone!
–Lows tonight will be in the low to mid 30s, and precip quits around or just after midnight
–Wednesday is the pick of the week, with mostly sunny skies and highs in the low to mid 40s with light winds
–Clouds will increase again Wednesday night as a storm system approaches, destined to track east through NY state and through central New England, keeping us on the milder side of its center
–Lows will reach the low 30s, and a period of snow or sleet is expected late Wednesday night into the pre-dawn hours of Thursday morning before changing to rain early Thursday
–Highs on Thursday will rise to either side of 40 degrees, and any rain should quit by noon or so
–Thereafter, as the storm pulls away and deepens, high pressure will be building in behind it and that pressure gradient will cause NW winds to blow, and gust to 45mph at times Thursday night as Arctic cold spills into the region
–Thursday night will dry out and lows will plummet into the teens, and possibly even the single digits in SVT
–Wind chill readings may get down to 0 degrees or even below zero by early Friday morning
–Friday will see high pressure build in, slackening winds, and creating a very cold day, the coldest in quite some time. Highs will only be in the upper teens to low 20s under plenty of sunshine
–Lows Friday night will be Brutal: single digits above zero in WMass and NCT, and single digits below zero in SVT, SWNH, and the northern Berkshires
–This sets up a solid dome of cold for Saturday’s storm system
–At this point, with some uncertainty remaining, snow looks to move in by early to mid afternoon (possibly a little later), and it could accumulate quickly by Satuday evening
–Saturday night looks to the bulk of the storm, and while a substantial snowfall is expected for folks north of the route 2 corridor, we have to see how far south that all-snow region could spread, but we won’t know that until we get closer
–Those who see all snow could get a 5-10″ type snowfall, but don’t let that range stick in your brain: it’s an idea, that’s all
–Any snow, ice or rain quits by Sunday late morning, and then we start to clear out
–Cold and fair weather persists through next week the way it looks now, with another storm chance by the following weekend
