Good morning everybody, rise and cloud! Time to make the doughnuts! Time to get up and take nourishment! Time to live while you’re alive, because we’re all exiting stage left one of these days (RIP Neil Peart <3), so dammit, be nice to people and to yourselves, because when all of us are breathing our last breaths, we'll wish we were nicer and kinder to others and ourselves and wish we did more of what we loved. #HunchedOverWithHandsOnKnees #RunOnSentence Ok, enough of my philosophical pontifications and pulpit-y lecturings. To the weather! SUMMARY --Temps are quite mild this morning, already up into the 40s and low 50s thanks to deep southerly flow from a strong high well west of us in the Atlantic --We do have a cool wedge with temps in the mid to upper 30s down into Greenfield and up into southeast VT and southwest NH --That will be eroded northward today --Southwest winds will gust to 30mph at times today with cloudy skies, and highs in the 55-60 degree range, with some low 60s possible in northern CT --A few showers are possible as well, but mainly in northwesternmost MA and SVT --Tonight, as our cold front approaches from the west, showers will increase late with patchy fog possible --Lows will remain in the low to mid 50s, and we'll likely set record high minimum temperatures (when we typically talk of "high and low temps" during a day/night, we really are referring to maximum and minimum temps, for which you can have record high/low maxes, and record high/low mins) --Southwest winds will continue to gust to 30mph at times tonight, patchy fog is possible --Showers pick up after midnight and last well into Sunday morning, with thunder possible --Highs will briefly reach the upper 50s to low 60s tomorrow, and then crash in the afternoon as the cold front moves through --Sunshine should breakout to end our day, and lows will drop into the low 20s overnight with west winds gusting 30-40mph Sunday afternoon and night, slackening very late. Blustery! --Monday and Tuesday look cooler and fair, with highs generally in the mid 30s to low 40s for the period and lows in the mid 20s to near 30 degrees, with partly sunny skies --Tuesday night sees a warm front pass through, and its timing may be such that some of us see a period of light accumulating snow to the north, with rain showers south --It's all gone by Wednesday, which will be milder, with highs in the low to mid 40s and partial sunshine --Thursday looks rainy with a storm system that runs right over us --Behind that system, a serious cold shot will blast into the region on strong northwesterly winds Thursday night into Friday morning, bringing in much colder temps --In fact, Friday highs may not even reach 30 degrees for some --With wintry cold air in place next weekend, another storm system will likely form and track over or south of us --We will have to watch the track, but the potential is there for a substantial snowstorm, so continue to check in with me as we get closer --Please remember that I'm here every day, even if I don't magically appear in your scroll Have a great day, and get ready for big changes starting today and lasting into next weekend!! P.S. Be nice whenever possible.
