Good morning everybody, we’ve got another fine day ahead of us, so get out and enjoy!

We’re gliding up and into the 45-50º range for highs today under sunny skies, with lows in the mid to upper 20s, just a gorgeous day ahead.

For Monday, we’re even milder! Highs will soar into the low to mid 50s under mostly sunny skies, as high pressure well south of us leaves us with one last lovely day before our weather turns inclement, and then colder as the week wears on. Monday night lows will drop into the mid 30s.

The Tuesday through Thursday period is our Zone of Inclemency, and I do think there will be some wintry hydrometeorological offenders mixed in (WHOs, for short), mainly over the typical SVT, northern Berkshires/Taconics, northwestern hilltown locales.

For Tuesday, a rather diffuse, weaker, lazy warm frontal boundary will push some scattered rain showers into the region.

Highs will reach the low 40s, generally, and winds should be light. Some areas will remain dry with just mostly cloudy skies in place, others will get wet.

Lows will drop into the low to mid 30s with additional rain showers Tuesday night.

Now, there is the potential for a colder surface flow to drain south into the WMass region after midnight and into the early pre-dawn hours.

This could produce a mix of snow, sleet and freezing rain over high elevation areas of northwest MA, eastern NY and southern VT, possibly down into northwest CT as well, with rain showers in the Pioneer Valley floor.

This activity should wane with time Wednesday morning, but a few slick spots are possible for the Wednesday morning commute.

After a lull and a few showers on Wednesday, another storm will be passing well to our northwest.

This would normally bring plain rain Wednesday night and Thursday before that storm’s cold front sweeps through form west to east, dropping our temps back to seasonable wintry levels.

However, there is a low chance that a secondary storm may try to get going near northeast PA and track over Massachusetts, which could produce more wintry precip in those some high terrain areas of the WMass region, so stay tuned on that piece for updates.

Another thing for those same high elevation areas to watch for is the potential for remnant moisture to combine with incoming coming colder air and westerly winds to produce upslope snow accumulations Thursday evening into Friday, which could be considerable.

Regardless, colder air arrives for Friday through Sunday with highs in the 20s and 30s and lows in the teens under partly to mostly sunny skies.

Have a great day!
