Western Mass Weather for August 5, 2020

[ASIDE FROM A SPOT SHOWER, SUNSHINE WILL RULE THE ROOST INTO THE WEEKEND… TODAY IS VERY WARM WITH HUMIDITY STILL PRESENT, BUT WE WILL REALLY DRY OUT TONIGHT LASTING THROUGH FRIDAY… CRISP AIR TONIGHT… 6:55am WED]

Good morning everybody, while I’m bummed out so many people had trees down on their property or their cars, I haven’t heard of any injuries or fatalities, so that’s good news, at least, but clearly a lot of wind damage and power outages came as a result of this storm system.

As for our weather going forward, we could get a spot shower today mainly in the high terrain. Mostly sunny skies will develop after any patchy fog burns off later in the morning.

Highs will reach the low to mid 80s today, and lows will be super crisp, with lowered humidity and lows in the upper 50s to low 60s.

Thursday and Friday look lovely, lowered humidity, and dry under mostly sunny skies with highs in the upper 70s to low 80s and lows in the low 60s.

By the weekend, we are warming back up again, and building toward a new period of muggy air to arrive early next week.

Highs will reach the low to mid 80s on both weekend days under mostly sunny skies within a very humid air mass and dewpoints in the 60s to near 70 degrees.

For early next week, humidity will surge and there will be chances for scattered showers, donwpours and thunderstorms.

Have a great day, folks!
