SUMMARY:
–Good morning everybody, while only a minority of us will hit the low 90s today, those that do will likely clock an official heat wave by end of Wednesday
–In fact, the heat wave could last into Thursday for some, especially along and south of the Pike
–High pressure off the coast will continue to advect increasing humidity into the region tonight and especially Tuesday through Thursday
–Highs Tuesday and Wednesday will be in the low to mid 90s, with a few upper 90s readings possible
–These air temps, combined with dewpoint temps rising into the low 70s, will prompt Heat Advisories to be posted over much of the region both days, and possibly Thursday, too
–Heat indices will reach into the low 100s at times. If you have respiratory issues or are negatively affected by the heat and humidity combination, it’s best to stay in air conditioned spaces Tuesday through Thursday
–Tuesday will feature early morning patchy fog, and lows Tuesday night and Wednesday night will only be in the low 70s
–Sometime between very late Wednesday night and Thursday afternoon, we will see some showers and thunderstorms thanks to a cold frontal passage
–This front drops south to the southern coastline Thursday night into Friday for a brief respite and cooler temps
–However, said front looks to lift north and possibly bring more scattered showers on Saturday, although all of Labor Day Weekend does not look like a washout at the moment.

Have a great day!
