Western Mass Weather for August 24, 2019

THE HIGH TERRAIN WON’T HIT THE 80 DEGREE MARK FOR AT LEAST THE NEXT WEEK… COOLER, DRIER, FAIR WEATHER INVADES THE WMASS REGION THROUGH THE WEEKEND AND INTO EARLY NEXT WEEK… (7:10am Sat)

Good morning everybody, it’s been a busy summer, that is for sure. Thankfully, it hasn’t been ALWAYS humid, hot, and thundering constantly. We’ve had some nice dry spells in our weekly mix, and the next 4 days is yet another sweet string of lovely weather.

SUMMARY
–Downright cool in the Berkshires, SVT and western hills with highs only in the mid to upper 60s!
–The valley, much of CMass, and northern CT will reach the low to mid 70s
–Expect abundant sunshine as the day progresses, with light north wind. Low humidity will feel wonderful!
–Lows will be in the upper 40s in the high terrain, for an early Autumn chill, with lows in the low 50s elsewhere
–Open up those winds and let that fresh Canadian air in!
–Sunday is a repeat of Saturday in every way, except that CMass could see some clouds at times, and a sprinkle can’t be ruled out in southern CMass or northeast CT
–Monday and Tuesday will continue the mostly sunny, drier and cooler trend with highs in the upper 60s to mid 70s region wide, with lows in the low to mid 50s Monday night and the mid to upper 50s Tuesday night
–A warm front will be pushing northeast toward the region by mid week, and humidity will make a return, as will some warmth
–However, I do not expect it will be as warm or as humid as the period we just went through
–Still, a chance of scattered showers are possible Wednesday and Thursday with highs in the mid 70s to low 80s
–Friday into next weekend looks drier and continued warm at the moment.

Have a great day, folks!
