[MORE CLOUDS THAN SUNSHINE THIS WEEKEND WITH SOME SUNNY BREAKS/PERIODS… A FEW SHOWERS SUNDAY AFTERNOON AND EVENING, BUT SHOULD BE LIGHT… GORGEOUS AND WARM ON MONDAY, FAIR WEATHER EXTENDS INTO TUESDAY THEN OUR RAIN CHANCES INCREASE FOR MID-WEEK, AND AGAIN LATE WEEK BEFORE A COOL DOWN NEXT WEEKEND… WINTER PATTERN WITH BLOCKING HIGH PRESSURE TO OUR NORTH RESETS AND PREVENTS SPRING FROM RUSHING INTO THE WMASS REGION… 7:10AM SAT]
Good morning everybody, I hope somehow you slept well last night. It’s so important to get enough rest during these times. We have to get whatever work done that needs to be done, but we also have to get enough rest and hydration to support our immune systems.
As for our weather, I am going to hop in the Bulletization Mobile (TM) as I’m known to do from time to time, and invoke The DHTWN Double Dashes Act of 2020. Oh it’s a thing, to be sure. Look below, it’s real! I shall comply.
SUMMARY
–Leftover clouds from our departing storm system from yesterday should produce some breaks in the cloud deck to reveal our brilliant yellow-white orb at times, but expect more clouds than sun on average
–Highs will reach the low 50s, with lows in the upper 30s, and winds should be light out of the north and northeast
–For Sunday, I believe we’ll see more of a partly sunny sky, with more clouds building as the day wears on
–Highs will reach the mid to upper 50s, with southwest flow, and a few showers later in the day as a frontal boundary and weak system zip through the region
–Lows will drop into the 35-40º range
–For Monday, high pressure builds to our south and produces a GORGEOUS day with mostly sunny skies and highs in the upper 50s to low 60s, with maybe a few mid 60s in portions of north-central and northeast CT
–Lows will be in the upper 30s
–Tuesday looks nice as well, with partly sunny skies and highs in the mid to upper 50s with lows again in the 30s
–After that, two systems in our west-to-east zonal flow look to bring rainfall on Wednesday and again on Friday, with temps in the low to mid 50s through the period
–We may cool down by Friday into the weekend, as blocking high pressure over western Greenland looks to flex
–This is a winter type setup, that displaces colder air to our north, down to the south over our latitudes
–But, it’s April, so that means highs generally in the 40s, with lows dipping below freezing at times, and a chance for rainy periods and even hilltown snow/ice, so stay tuned for updates folks
I hope you’re able to get some Nature in today, and I hope you are taking good care, staying hydrated, healthy, taking your vitamins (especially C!) and holding your own. Be well, Dave
