Good morning everybody, some of us are waking up to fresh coatings or light blankets of late-season snowfall this morning, so please post your pics below.

We’re in the 30s, and we have a few light showers of rain or snow that are working west to east through WMass this morning and northern CT, and will be vamoose-ing to the east as the morning continues.

A light northwest flow will be established behind our departing ocean storm, and we will get some sunny breaks with (hopefully) a partly sunny day developing overall with highs in the mid to upper 50s.

Lows tonight will drop into the low to mid 30s.

For Wednesday, we should have a partly sunny morning to look forward to, but low pressure will be swinging southeast into the Great Lakes and Ohio Valley, as high pressure presses east off into the western Atlantic, as both atmospheric players position themselves to create a southerly moisture siphon up the eastern seaboard for late Thursday and Friday.

So, after a partly Sunny Wednesday morning, clouds will be increasing and highs will reach the mid 50s to low 60s with renewed southerly flow. A few scattered showers are possible Wednesday night with lows near 40 degrees.

For Thursday, a southeasterly flow will help to keep things a bit drier in our region, as well as keep incoming moisture at bay for a time. Still, some scattered showers are expected at times during the day, and highs will reach the 55-60 degree range.

By Thursday night, however, that’s our best chance of heavy rain as low pressure finally pushes into the region, and sends a lot of moisture from south to north into our region.

Lows Thursday night will stay in the low 50s!! That’s warmer than yesterday’s highs by about 10 degrees!!

I expect heavy rain at times with thunder possible and gusty southerly winds of 30-40mph Thursday night into Friday with 1-3″ of rain possible.

Highs will be in the low to mid 60s on Friday with showers at night and lows in the 40s.

A few morning Saturday showers should hopefully give way to partly sunny skies by afternoon with highs in the low to mid 60s.

If we’re lucky, we’ll get more drying on Sunday with partly sunny skies and highs in the mid to upper 60s, which would be most welcome at this point in time!

More rain does look likely Sunday night into Monday, and then again by the middle of next week as our active pattern continues, but at least the temps are coming up.

I hope you have a good day!
