Western Mass Weather for April 21, 2019

ALL FLOOD WATCHES CANCELLED… ISOLATED SHOWERS POSSIBLE TODAY, BUT WE SHOULD BE MOSTLY DRY WITH SOME SUNNY BREAKS IN WMASS POSSIBLE… MORE RAIN MOVES BACK IN BY THE MIDDLE OF MONDAY AFTERNOON LASTING INTO TUESDAY MORNING… A COLD FRONT BRINGS ANOTHER LINE OF SHOWERS TUESDAY NIGHT, THEN WE DRY FOR AT LEAST A COUPLE OF DAYS WED/THURS (7:10am Sunday)

Good morning everybody, aside from some isolated showers this morning into early afternoon, we should be mostly cloudy and on the dry side, with breaks of sunshine at times.

Highs will rise into the mid to upper 60s with lows in the upper 40s under mostly cloudy but dry skies tonight.

For Monday, we should start off dry and see highs rise into the low 60s or so before showers blossom over our region, due to a mid-level low pressure system that will scoot of the coast and push moisture and lift back into our region.

These showers should arrive by early to mid afternoon, and last through the night at varying intensities and quit by Tuesday morning. Lows will drop to near 50 degrees.

For Tuesday, after morning showers dissipate, we’ll get a lull but it will be brief. At the same time, we’ll be watching a cold front approach from the west, and some showers or even an isolated thunderstorm will re-enter our meteorological picture later on Tuesday afternoon and during the evening.

Highs will remain mild, reaching the mid to upper 60s, with lows in the 40s.

Wednesday and Thursday look partly to mostly sunny at the moment, so let’s keep our eyes on that horizon.

Have a great day!
