Good morning everybody, I dreamt about hugging my friends last night and woke up to realizing I can’t do that right now, not only in an effort to stay healthy myself, but really to ensure I’m not part of the contagion that could possibly lead to an overwhelming of the medical system and area hospitals. That’s been wearing on me lately, but as a human, we adapt, accept responsibility, and move on…. after that light start to the day, now here’s Dave with the weather!

SUMMARY
–An ocean storm is bringing clouds to southern and eastern parts of the WMass region this morning, and that will continue during a good part of today
–North of Rt. 2 should be partly to mostly sunny, and south of there partly to mostly cloudy until sometime this afternoon when skies should clear up more
–Highs today should reach the low to mid 50s with lows in the low to mid 30s under mostly clear skies
–For Tuesday, we’ll be watching a strong cold front approaching the region from the west
–Any morning sunshine will quickly give way to clouds, with highs eventually reaching the low to mid 50s
–First showers should arrive into the Taconics and Berkshires by late morning and we can expect showers and possible downpours in the afternoon
–Gusty south winds will rev up to 30mph at times tomorrow afternoon
–The best chance for thunderstorms arrives by mid to late afternoon, and some may be strong to severe, with damaging winds being the main threat. Hail is also possible
–This line clears the region by 6-7pm to the east, and may end as some scattered snow showers in the Berkshires, SVT and western hills Tuesday night as cold air rushes in from Canada
–Winds will kick around to the northwest and gust 35-45mph at night and into Wednesday
–With lows Tuesday night in the 25-30º range, this will drop wind chills late at night into the teens and 20s, BRRR!!!!
–Wednesday is a fair, sunny, but cold and windy day with continued gusts to 40mph or so, and highs only in the upper 30s to mid 40s, quite cold for late April
–By Wednesday night, the pressure gradient will relax over the region, and winds will slacken
–With lows in the upper 20s, frost is possible
–For Thursday, expect a milder, partly sunny day as high pressure briefly saunters lazily through, says hey, and wobbles out to sea, leaving us with highs in the upper 40s to low 50s
–Clouds increase Thursday night with lows in the upper 30s as rain arrives late at night
–Friday looks like a fairly raw and rainy day with highs near 50 degrees
–The weekend weather picture is uncertain at the moment with showers possible each day, but that is subject to change, so stay tuned

Have a good day everybody, hang in there, be nice, eat your vegetables, drink your waters, and take your vitamins (C and D3 especially, and zinc!)
