(5:35pm Wed) SNOW FLIES AGAIN ACROSS THE HIGH TERRAIN TOMORROW WITH LIGHT ACCUMULATIONS POSSIBLE BY EARLY/MID MORNING… MIXED RAIN AND SNOW FALLS IN THE LOWER VALLEY ELEVATIONS…WE MAY ALL FLIP TO SNOW TOMORROW EVENING… AND I MAY JUST FLIP MY LID… #KIDDING #KINDA
Good evening everybody, we’ve got yet another wintry weather system ready to land on our shores beginning in the pre-dawn hours of tomorrow morning. Let’s jump into the BulletizationMobile(TM) one more time together, before the god damn wheels fall off the axles! Time to bring this thing into the shop for repairs! And no, I’m not talking about my brain, although……
–Hey look, the sun came out! It’s kinda nice!
–Pay no attention to those clouds tonight that will move in from the west. Pay no attention to them!
–I’m kidding, you need to pay attention to them
–We’ve got a potent little Clipper system pushing east into the Great Lakes and Midwest tonight
–There is plenty of cold air feeding into the backside of this system, which will continue to fuel its development
–The temperature gradients in the mid-levels of the atmosphere are pretty tight, which helps to create lift and ultimately more moderate to possibly briefly heavy precipitation
–Lows will drop into the low 30s tonight
–Before dawn tomorrow, precip will start in the form of snow over the high terrain (Berks, Tacs, Litchs, Greens, western hills… like my shorthand? I don’t. I’m fired!)
–As this precip falls into the drier air below, it will “wet bulb” which basically just means that as the precip falls, it will simultaneously drop surface temps and humidify the surface
–With temps a mile up in the 20s, this why we will see snow at the onset
–It’s possible that valley locations, especially south of the Pike start off as rain, or a mix of snow, sleet and rain
–A coating to 2″ is possible in the high terrain locations mentioned above, especially the northeastern Berks, West County and southern VT
–Some coatings are possible elsewhere
–Our storm will track due east, while being suppressed slightly south thanks to a north-to-south diving piece of spin in the atmosphere, ensuring that we stay on the cooler side of this system
–OH. JOY. No seriously, I’M PUMPED. #ThisNutIsLosingIt
–This essentially means that snow should continue in the high terrain, with some rain mixing in at times
–It’s not impossible for portions of west county (i.e. western Franklin County) up into southern VT to see all snow from this through Saturday night, and get up to 6″! That would be the outlier high amount, I believe
–For the valley, we should turn from snow very early to mixed rain and snow, or just plain rain at times. Temps will be marginal, so it may flip back and forth. Woo hoo!
–By tomorrow evening, the upper level piece of this system, along with colder air will be moving through, and we could ALL flip to snow, to which I imagine many of you will flip the bird. So many middle fingers pointed skyward tomorrow
–Oh yeah, temps! Highs will be in the mid to upper 30s in the high terrain, to near 40 in the valley
–Coatings are possible on grassy surfaces everywhere by tomorrow night, with 1″-4″ in the high terrain when all said and done, and even higher in some spots as mentioned
–Lows will be in the low 30s tomorrow night
–Friday may feature some early rain or snow showers, with mostly cloudy skies and sunny breaks late
–The weekend looks absolutely AMAZING #CherryOnTop
–P.S. I love snow, The End.
Ok, that about does it, I will be updating you in the morning, noon and night tomorrow, so stay tuned as we all buckle down and endure one more piece of wintry weather before we get at least a 5-day, mildening-the-whole-way sunny break in the wintry action that. might. just. feel. like. Spring.
Have a great night!

DAILY DISCUSSION:
Good morning everybody, after some isolated remnant rain/snow showers early from our departing upper level system, we should enjoy a mostly calm day with more clouds than sun in the Berkshires and western hilltowns, and more in the way of partial sunshine in the valley.
Clouds will build back in tonight, and overrunning precip will fall in the form of snow in the high terrain and rain in the valley, most likely. Some light accumulations are possible tomorrow morning in the hills.
Rain showers during Thursday, will flip back to snow for many of us Thursday night into early Friday morning, with a few inches of snow possible in the high terrain and coatings in the valley as colder air gets drawn into the departing low pressure system.
I will have a full report tonight around dinner time to get you up to date with the latest and greatest. Until then, have a great day!
