Good morning everybody, The Bulletization Mobile(TM) is getting pushier and pushier these days, as in pushing directly up against my pre-frontal cortex and causing my amygdala to stand at full attention, and so I will be forced to save my sanity and comply, thereby sprinkling our expected weather outcomes via the many double–dashes below…
SUMMARY
–This morning we’ve got periods of rain showers tracking northeast through the region which lasts until at least 10am-ish
–Temps are mild, in the 40s and 50s for many of us, and high temps won’t climb much beyond 5º higher than where they are at currently
–A cold front is moving into the Berkshires now, and our rain showers will be focused along it
–By later morning, drier air will start to work into the region, and a few breaks of sunshine are possible
–An upper level system pushes colder air in aloft later in the afternoon, so the extra bits of sun, milder temps, and instability with cold air aloft will kick up more isolated showers, and a thunderstorm can’t be ruled out with small hail possible
–Highs will reach the mid 40s in SVT to upper 50s in northern CT, and upper 40s to mid 50s for much of the WMass/CMass region up into southwest NH (upper 40s to 50 or so)
–West winds rise up as the afternoon wears on and into the night with gusts 25-35mph for many of us
–Lows will drop into the upper 20s to low 30s as most showers abate with time, and some snow showers will be possible in the Berkshires, western hilltowns and SVT
–For Saturday, it’ll be gusty early, so bundle up if heading out first thing in the morning
–Otherwise expect mostly sunny skies and highs in the mid 40s to low 50s with slackening wind by afternoon
–Lows will drop to near freezing or just below as clouds increase overnight
–Sunday looks cloudy all day, but dry in the morning. By early afternoon or so, light rain showers are expected as a Clipper system works west to east through the region
–Highs will reach the mid to upper 40s only, and we can’t rule out some snow mixing in over northwest MA and southern VT by evening (lows will drop to near freezing again)
–Monday and Tuesday look gorgeous with mostly sunny skies expected as high pressure builds into the region and helps produce highs into the upper 40s to mid 50s both days (maybe a bit milder Tuesday), with lows in the 30s
–It is the mid-week period that is in need of refinement, as at least one if not two rainy systems will be impacting the region as early as Wednesday afternoon, but possibly holding off until Thursday, lasting into Friday
–It’s another situation where a strong low develops northwest of us, and keeps us on its warm side (southeast of the low center), with highs expected in the 40s and 50s
–So stay tuned for updates as we get closer to that period, and I hope you have a great day!
