Good morning everybody, if you want the storm setup and southeastern MA impacts please refer to my book report (the post below this one from last night). I won’t go into all storm impacts here, just want to get my WMass region peeps out the door.
We’re starting off mainly in the upper 30s to upper 40s across the region. North Adams once again is reporting fog with half-mile visibility, and some other patches are to be expected, but they’ll burn off with time this morning.
Showers are already drifting north and northwestward into portions of northeast CT and central MA this morning, and it’s already raining in southeast MA from our approaching coastal low. Rain should fill into a good portion of the WMass region, especially south of the Rt. 2 corridor today. Please see details below.
SUMMARY
–Our northeast flow kicks up today, starting off with gusts to 20mph at times
–A dry morning will lead to scattered showers during the afternoon, with the potential for a solid rain shield developing by mid to late afternoon across the region
–Pack your rain gear just in case, is my advice
–Highs today will reach the mid to upper 50s
–Showers are expected tonight with lows in the low to mid 40s
–The brunt of the storm impacts occur Thursday and Thursday night, possibly lasting into the first half of Friday before the storm occludes, weakens and gets a swift kick in the butt, out to sea
–Rain is expected tomorrow and tomorrow night, with northeast wind gusts of 25-35mph
–A very raw day is expected, with highs in the low to mid 50s
–You wanted rain, we got rain, this is good

–More rain and more wind Thursday night with lows in the low to mid 40s
–More of the same for the first half of Friday with highs in the low to mid 50s, but by afternoon we should start to see rain consolidate down in southeastern MA with winds beginning to abate as the storm weakens and shrinks southeast
–Lows Friday night with a few scattered showers with lows in the low to mid 40s
–Saturday looks mostly cloudy with highs in the mid to upper 50s, with low 60s possible on Sunday with more sunshine
–Monday looks even nicer, with sunshine and highs in the low to mid 60s, but another rain maker is possible by Tuesday
Have a great day and stay dry!
