WEATHER REPORT
Good morning everybody, our weather is going to be influenced heavily by a large area of high pressure centered just north of New England with fair weather as the result through Thursday.
This high pressure cell will help push a light easterly flow throughout the greater WMass region, which will keep temps more seasonable, cresting into the mid 60s to mid 70s today from north to south with light east wind.
Any morning clouds should beget more sunshine as the day wears on, but still with a few high or mid-level clouds around.
Lows tonight will bottom out in the mid 40s to low 50s under partly cloudy skies as our high pressure begins its slow migration east and southeast through the week.
For Wednesday, a mostly sunny day is expected with more of a southeasterly trending to southerly flow and highs in the upper 60s to mid 70s, with lows in the upper 40s to low 50s.
Thursday looks like our last fair weather day in this stretch, with highs in the low to mid 70s under partly sunny skies, as lows bottom out in the upper 50s as dewpoint temps come up, and patchy fog becomes possible with strengthened southerly flow.
Friday was originally going to be our main day of rainfall with a better weekend, but that has now shifted forward in time to Friday night into Saturday, so please make note.
For Friday, clouds will be building and we will expect some showers as well as a thunderstorm or two with highs in the mid to upper 70s, as more humid conditions develop. Lows will be in the low 60s with continued showers.
This change to the weekend forecast is due to a slower-moving upper level system that will drift east into the Great Lakes region, and then slowly push into and through New England Saturday and Sunday.
On Saturday, expect periods of showers and a possible thunderstorm with highs in the low to mid 70s, though hopefully the rain will abate by sometime in the afternoon, and I will keep you updated.
Lows Saturday will drop into the 50s as we hopefully set ourselves up for a lovely conclusion to the holiday weekend.
For now, Sunday and Monday look to feature fair weather with mostly sunny skies and highs in the 75-80º range, but I could see a few instability showers form on Sunday due to the influence of our upper low.
