WEATHER REPORT
Good morning everybody, we’ve got a much more pleasant day humidity-wise coming up, as drier air has worked in behind yesterday’s frontal passage.

We still have a bit of a broad upper trough working through the region today and tomorrow with some broadly cyclonic (i.e. curved across hundreds of miles) flow, but high pressure at the surface will help maintain mostly sunny skies. Still, some fair weather clouds should develop this afternoon and an isolated sprinkle can’t be ruled out.

Highs will reach the low 70s to low 80s from north to south with a light northwest wind, and low dew point temps with dry air in place.

Lows tonight amidst our New Moon will drop into the 50s region-wide, and perhaps some upper 40s in the southern Greens of VT. Clear skies are expected.

For Wednesday, after some morning patchy light fog, a weak frontal boundary will be tracking through the region during the evening when a few light showers are possible.

Between the fog and the evening frontal passage, a nice day will develop with mostly sunny skies, light southwest wind, and highs in the upper 70s to mid 80s on Wednesday. Any clouds or light showers in the evening will clear late at night with lows in the mid to upper 50s.

By the time we reach Thursday, high pressure will be developing to our south as a piece of that hot ridge to our west once again tries to make a lasting pass into New England, but will ultimately fail to hold and maintain its heat and humidity in the region.

The result of all of this, is that Thursday and Friday will feature abundant sunshine, and warming temps. Highs Thursday reach the low to mid 80s with lows near 60º, while highs on Friday will soar into the upper 80s to mid 90s as humidity increases.

It looks to be quite warm on Friday night as clouds increase, with lows only dropping into the mid to upper 60s. A few showers are possible after midnight, as well.

Saturday is yet another transition day between briefly hot conditions, to more seasonable ones, and this time, we have enough wind shear present with an incoming trough and cold front (along with moisture and instability) to generate some strong thunderstorms.

Highs on Saturday look to top out in the upper 70s to mid 80s, and the bulk of any rainfall associated with this front will move in by late morning into the afternoon, lasting into the evening.

I will update you on any specific storm threats that develop or become more clear over the coming days, but Saturday looks like a wet start to the weekend.

Saturday night lows bottom out in the 50s as we break up the cloud deck late.

After that, we have a killer end to the long holiday weekend with highs in the upper 70s to mid 80s, lowered humidity, lows in the 50s, and plenty of sunshine to make for a perfectly seasonable early-Summer weekend supportive of all and any holiday plans or outdoor activities.

Fair weather should continue on Tuesday, but more rain showers are possible by the middle of next week, so stay tuned for updates.

That’s all for now, my friends!

I hope you have a great day, and remember…

“Hello babies. Welcome to Earth. It’s hot in the summer and cold in the winter. It’s round and wet and crowded. On the outside, babies, you’ve got a hundred years here. There’s only one rule that I know of, babies: Goddamn it, you’ve got to be kind.”
