Western Mass Regional Weather for June 26, 2022

HOT AND HUMID TODAY WITH MONDAY SHOWERS, SOME DOWNPOURS MAY REDUCE VISIBILITY IN THE MORNING… COOLER, MORE SEASONABLE TUESDAY INTO MID-WEEK BEFORE WE WARM BACK UP LATE WEEK WITH SHOWERS BY SATURDAY… 6:25am Sunday…

Good morning everybody, we’ve got another sunny, hot and humid day on the way, but a cold frontal passage tomorrow will break the heat.

Highs will rise into the upper 80s to mid 90s from high terrain into the Pioneer Valley floor under mostly sunny skies. There is some dry air aloft, and that may mix down during the day after a humidity surge in the morning with dewpoints into the 60s, so hopefully that comes to pass and we get less humidity by afternoon.

Still, stay hydrated, and if outside, seek shade at times to cool down. Wind should be generally lighter southerly.

For tonight, clouds increase as a cold front approaches, lows will bottom out in the low to mid 60s, and showers should arrive after midnight, and especially toward dawn into the daylight morning hours of Monday.

The main thrust of showers with a few downpours hits in the morning, with some scattered showers in the afternoon. Rain could fall heavily at times.

Highs will crest into the mid 70s or so, and skies will be overcast, leading to partly cloudy skies at night with lows in the low to mid 50s.

Tuesday through Thursday look delightful with high pressure moving back into the region producing mostly sunny skies with highs in the 70s Tuesday, and then upper 70s to mid 80s Wednesday and Thursday, with lows in the 50s.

By Friday, the heat will surge with highs rising into the mid 80s to low 90s as a another system approaches and brings some more rain showers with thunderstorms possible Friday night into Saturday.

Have a great day!
