Good morning everybody, it is chilly out there with temps in the 20s and 30s, but temps will rebound nicely given our higher April sun angle. Clouds will increase, and after a few showers this afternoon/evening, more fair weather through Monday then begets shower chances increasing by Tuesday, but before we dive into all of the weather details below, let’s check a note from our local and delicious sponsor, #TandemBagelCo, with a new location in West Springfield, MA.

DISCUSSION
Good morning folks, we’ve got strong high pressure over us right now which is tracking east, but providing a nice amount of sunshine to start the day with highs in the mid 50s to low 60s.
This, however, will be fleeting as the high tracks east and makes way for a frontal boundary to slide eastward through the region.
Ahead of this frontal boundary, southerly winds will develop between the incoming lower pressure with the front and outgoing higher pressure as mentioned, producing southerly gusts of 20-30mph later today.
Clouds will increase, shielding us from seeing the cosmic firmament in which we’re suspended, and a few showers will move into the region, especially north of the Pike.
These should be light, and not amount to too much, but some folks will get wet this afternoon and tonight, and southern VT and northwest MA could see showers as early as mid-afternoon, with a later onset south and east, with little to no rain expected in parts of northern CT.
Lows will drop into the low to mid 40s, and showers will quit overnight, with clearing skies developing.
Friday looks supremely beautiful, with sunshine and highs in the mid 50s to mid 60s from north to south, and despite a lull in the wind during the later pre-dawn hours and early morning post-dawn hours, west winds will kick up and gust over 20mph as high pressure moves back into the region.
Lows Friday night will be mostly clear with lows in the low to mid 30s, and highs Saturday under sunny skies will rise into the upper 50s to mid 60s with lows in the low to mid 40s as clouds roll in.
Sunday is more of a partly sunny to mostly cloudy day, but fair weather is still expected, and highs should still be mild, rising into the low 60s with lows in the 40s as clouds thicken.
Monday looks mostly cloudy but quite mild with highs well into the 60s. However, another frontal boundary will be tracking east and into the region, bringing an area of low pressure and a better chance for more widespread rainfall Monday night into Tuesday.
Thereafter, we have to watch to see if a blocking pattern develops over Greenland and Newfoundland that could keep low pressure lollygagging about aimlessly, spritzing us with its sadness, trapped and unable to freely move out to sea.
It also looks cooler by mid-week, so we’re not springing into the 70s anytime soon, but we’ll get there eventually, we always do.
Have a great day!
