WEDNESDAY IS LOOKING MORE DYNAMIC WITH MORE SNOW POSSIBLE IN THE BERKSHIRES, WESTERN HILLTOWNS AND ESPECIALLY SOUTHERN VT...

Good evening everybody, this is just a quick update to remind you that we’re going to be very cold tonight with lows in the single digits above and below zero (below zero readings should mostly be relegated to southern VT and parts of SWNH).

Tomorrow starts off partly sunny and then clouds up with highs in the 20s and some snow showers breaking out in the evening and overnight with a coating to an inch or so possible in northwest MA on north into VT and NH.

However, it is the late morning on Wednesday into Wednesday night that looks to feature a more dynamic system that will be sweeping in from west-southwest to east-northeast with some Pacific moisture and cold air on its heels Wednesday night into Thursday.

A period of moderate to heavy snow is possible in the western high terrain of MA and VT west of the I-91 corridor with mix or a change to rain in the valley, followed by additional upslope snow accumulations in the Berkshires, Taconics, western hilltowns and southern Greens late Wednesday night into Thursday morning with lake effect snow showers possible Thursday night into Friday morning in a cold blustery flow out of the west.

All this to say, some areas of SVT and far northwest could see 4-8″ of snow when said and done, and may be even a little more in the spine of the southern Greens.

I will update in the morning, have a great evening… Dave
