FREEZING DRIZZLE, PATCHY FREEZING FOG, AND BLACK ICE OVERNIGHT, ESPECIALLY NORTH OF THE PIKE...
Good evening folks, leftover remnant moisture has already produced some patches of drizzle around parts of the region, and that will continue tonight and into the pre-dawn hours.
Patchy fog, some of it dense, has also formed in the western hilltowns, the eastern Berkshires, SVT and over into parts of central MA.
Some temps are already at or below freezing, and temps will continue to drop into the upper 20s to low 30s, so patchy freezing drizzle or freezing fog will form, and could cause some slippery travel, especially north of the Pike and at elevation.
Black ice from snow melt and standing water will also form, so this is just to say to be careful the later you are out and about tonight.
Temps come way up above freezing tomorrow, so we just have to get through the next 15 hours, and we’ll be off to the races.
Have a great night, Dave.
