SOME AREAS APPROACHING A FOOT OF SNOW... PLEASE POST YOUR TOTALS BELOW... ABOUT SIX HOURS OR SO OF MODERATE TO HEAVY SNOW...

Good afternoon everybody, just a quick update to say that our snowstorm continues, obviously, and we’re getting some wind gusts at times that is causing blowing and drifting of this powdery snow which will lower visibility at times.

In fact we’ve seen some gusts in the 25-40mph range!

We generally have about 6-12″ of snow on the ground across the region, and I would love to hear your snow totals at the 5pm timeframe.

We’ve been seeing 1-2″ per hour snowfall rates this afternoon and we’re entering the final period of the brunt of the storm which will last through the first part of this evening as bands of moderate to heavy snowfall continue to rotate through the region with strong frontogenesis (mid-level front formation) pushing northeast through the region between 6pm-11pm with similar snowfall rates that we’ve seen this afternoon.

Please post any reports below, I will update again in a few hours, thank you!
