Winter Weather Alert

EXTREME COLD WARNINGS CONTINUE THIS SATURDAY NIGHT THROUGH SUNDAY MORNING...
Good evening everybody, just a quick note to say that our Arctic front is clearly east of the region, and northwest gusts of 25-40mph will continue to usher in colder and colder air. Some folks are already below zero in the Berkshires, and that trend will continue, ending up with low temps in the -12º to low single digits above zero for lows overnight.
Wind chills will range anywhere from -30º to -10º, and blowing and drifting of snow will continue to cause brief visibility issues, and slippery patches on the roads where gusts are persistent over open fields / spaces.
Highs tomorrow will “climb” into the mid single digits to mid teens, but that’s about it… at least it will be sunny! It will also be breezy early, so wind chill will continue to be a factor for us.
At night, we’ll drop down in the single digits below and above 0º, but wind should be light by that point.
After a very cold start on Monday, we’ll finally enter a milder winter pattern change and the Arctic will stay much further north than our latitude and give us a much-needed break from what has been the coldest winter in 12 years, I believe.
I hope you have a great night, stay warm, and if you’d like to support my work during my annual support drive, simply click the secure link below to my website, any amount helps, thank you, Dave.
